In the beginning
Advanced Employment was founded in June of 1992. The agency spun off of one of the original Dane County Supported Employment Agencies, Community Work Services. Two workers, Krisanne Stern and David Verban ventured out on their own to satisfy the demand for more Supported Employment opportunities in Dane County.
Progress
Since the beginning the Agency has grown to support over 155 individuals through Supported Employment, DVR Services and private pay opportunities. Currently AE supports 3 Micro Enterprises owned by individuals with disabilities.
In the future
Given the economic times, we are always looking at ways to support individuals in developing additional skills. We can help assess businesses and assist Employers in creating efficiencies through hiring the individuals we support.
